Ok, so here's a pose...
Feet together, big toes touching, heels slightly apart. Lift your toes and feel all four corners of your soles. Then relax your toes. Stand evenly on both feet. Press your thigh bones straight back, feel your tail bone release down, lower belly lifts, sternum lifts, shoulders drop. Arms straight down by your sides. Fingers long. Chin level with the ground. Gaze straight ahead. Eyes open.
Now, settle your gaze on one spot, directly in front of you. Envision the top of your skull as open and yearning toward all that is above.
This is equal standing pose – Samastithi. Sama means balance.
Practice breathing in for a count of four and breathing out for a count of four. Take several rounds of this balanced, even, rhythmic breath. See if this helps settle you into a state of balance.
