Surya Namaskar is sanskrit for sun salute.
There's a peak in a movement of this salute -- where both arms reach up and the open palms touch, like a prayer, above your head. There's a moment at this peak where you look up and see your palms touch. It coincides with the pause of breath at the top of the inhale.
It's a sacred moment. A very hopeful, faithful pause, extending toward the clouds and the sun and the heavens above. There's a clear sincerity here. Like the pause, the turn into a new year.
