Every so often, an athlete's motion mirrors a yoga pose.
Here's one freeze-framed.
Balanced on one leg, the other leg lifted and extended, torso twisting, spine long.

When practicing this as a yoga pose, you would shift into it slowly, the arms would spread wide, one hand to the ground for balance, the other hand reaching toward the sky.
And you would alternate the pose on each side, twisting one way and then the other.
But this pitcher has to move into this twist at a high speed, and launch a highly accurate pitch, over and over and over.
The repetition of this movement can create an enormous physical unevenness.
Some people think athletes get paid too much.
Imbalance is a high price.
